- Microwave Chocolate Mug Cake
You’ll need: 1 egg, 1 ripe banana, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 ½ tbsp butter
How to make: After pureeing the banana, add the butter, egg, cocoa to it. Next pour this batter into a mug till the 2/3 level. Microwave this on high heat for 2 ½ minutes
- Macaroni and cheese in a cup
You’ll need: A handful of macaroni, some water, ½ cup milk, ½ tsp baking powder, pepper
How to make: Add water and macaroni and cook on high heat. Once cooked, remove from microwave and add milk, baking powder, cheese & pepper. Mix this and cook for another 2 minutes on medium heat.
- Easy baked potato chips
You’ll need: 1 large potato, potato slicer, olive or vegetable oil, salt
How to make: Slice the potato into thin slices. Mix the slices in a bowl with 2 tbsps of oil. Then spread these slices on grease-proof paper and sprinkle them with salt. Microwave for five minutes on medium heat. Garnish with chaat masala or chili powder
- Egg Fried Rice
You’ll need: 1 egg, 250 cooked gms rice, mixed veggies, 2 tbsp soya sauce, salt, pepper, additional spices like fried rice masala mix
How to make: Add rice, veggies and cover dish with cellophane. Make small cuts in cellophane & cook rice for a minute. After the rice is heated through, remove from microwave discard cellophane sheet. Mix the egg, soya sauce, salt, pepper, other spices as you like in a separate bowl. Add this sauce preparation to rice and cook for another 1½ minutes. Then, let it stand for another minute and your fried rice it ready!
